Forklift & Material Handling Inspection

Worn chains and forks aren't just a repair bill — they're a safety failure waiting to drop a load. We measure both to spec.

Forklift wear is measurable and regulated. Load chains stretch, fork blades thin at the heel, and a tired hydraulic system won't hold a load. We measure chain elongation and fork wear against manufacturer limits, test the mast and hydraulics, and check the power source — battery pack or LPG — so you know the lift is safe and serviceable.

What we inspect
  • Load chain elongation measured against wear limits
  • Fork blade and heel wear, plus tip alignment
  • Mast, carriage, rollers, and lift/lower function
  • Hydraulic pressures, drift, and leaks
  • Tires / wheels (cushion or pneumatic) for wear and chunking
  • Brakes, parking brake, and steering
  • Electric: battery pack, cells, controller, and charging
  • LPG: tank, regulator, and leak check
  • Hour-meter verification and service history
  • Safety equipment: horn, lights, seatbelt, overhead guard

MODEL GUIDES / FLIFT

Model-specific guides

Exactly what we look at on these specific machines — the known problem areas and how we check them.

Toyota

8-Series Forklift

All series

Toyota's benchmark lift truck — reliable, but mast, chains, and forks still wear to limits, and the SAS stability system must be working.

Hyster

H50FT Forklift

All series

A common IC counterbalance forklift. Mast chains and forks are safety items; the transmission and engine carry the cost.

Yale

GLP050 Forklift

All series

A workhorse IC counterbalance lift. Same priorities as any sit-down forklift: chains and forks, hydraulics, transmission, and engine.

Crown

FC Electric Forklift

All series

An electric counterbalance lift where the battery pack and drive system are the whole cost. A tired pack quietly halves the value.

Crown

RR Reach Truck

All series

A narrow-aisle reach truck where the battery pack, reach mechanism, and load wheels carry the cost. Built for high-cycle warehouse life.

Raymond

Reach-Fork Truck

All series

The narrow-aisle benchmark. Battery, reach mechanism, and load wheels are the inspection — built for relentless distribution-center duty.

Caterpillar

GP25 Forklift

All series

A common IC counterbalance lift in the 5,000-lb class. Chains and forks, hydraulics, transmission, and engine are the inspection.

Kalmar

Container Handler

All series

Heavy port/yard iron where the spreader, twistlocks, and massive tires are the cost. A failure here is expensive and dangerous.

Crown

PE Electric Pallet Jack

All series

A high-cycle electric pallet jack where battery and drive condition are everything. Cheap to overlook, costly to replace a worn pack.
