A high-cycle electric pallet jack where battery and drive condition are everything. Cheap to overlook, costly to replace a worn pack.
Crown's PE series electric pallet jacks do enormous cycle counts in warehouses and on docks. The battery and drive system are the cost, and the hydraulics, forks, and load wheels are simple but wear quickly.
Battery condition determines runtime and value.
CHECK Test the battery under load and check the charger.
Drive and control faults reduce reliability.
CHECK Operate the unit and scan for faults.
The lift system leaks and weakens.
CHECK Lift a load and check for drift and leaks.
Forks and load/steer wheels wear with cycles.
CHECK Inspect forks and load wheels for wear.
Braking and handle controls must work.
CHECK Test braking and all handle controls.
