The Hyster H50FT is a typical internal-combustion counterbalance forklift used in yards and warehouses. Mast chains and forks are the safety items, while the transmission and engine are the larger costs.
Stretched chains and worn forks are safety and capacity issues.
CHECK Measure chain stretch and fork heel wear against limits.
Cylinder leaks cause the mast to drift or tilt to creep.
CHECK Raise a load and check for drift; inspect cylinders.
