Heavy Equipment Inspection
Buying iron is buying risk. Undercarriage, hydraulics, and final drives can swallow tens of thousands of dollars after the sale. We measure them before you commit.
Heavy equipment hides its wear in places a walk-around won't show: track tension, pin-and-bushing slop, hydraulic pressures, and the inside of a final drive. We inspect machines the way a fleet manager would before adding one to the yard, including fluid sampling so you know the internal condition, not just the paint.
- Engine diagnostics through OEM software (Cat ET, Cummins INSITE, etc.)
- Hydraulic system pressures, cycle times, drift, and leak-down
- Undercarriage wear: track, chain, sprocket, rollers, and idlers measured
- Pin and bushing wear at all major joints
- Final drives, swing motors, and travel motors for noise and play
- Structural steel, booms, sticks, and buckets for cracks and repairs
- Cooling, charge-air, and DEF/after-treatment systems
- Cab, controls, gauges, and safety interlocks
- Fluid analysis: engine oil, hydraulic oil, and final-drive samples
- Hour-meter verification against wear and service records
- Heavy-duty diagnostic laptop with OEM adapters & software
- Hydraulic pressure test kit with assorted fittings
- Undercarriage wear gauges (track, chain, sprocket)
- Pin & bushing wear measurement tools
- Ultrasonic thickness gauge for structural steel & buckets
- Infrared thermometer / thermal camera
- Oil & fluid sampling kit for lab analysis
- Digital borescope
