Boat & Marine Inspection
A wet transom or a leaking lower unit sinks a deal. We sound the hull, pressure-test the gearcase, and compression-check the power before you pay.
Boats hide their two biggest expenses below the gelcoat: a moisture-soaked hull or transom, and a tired powertrain. We moisture-map the structure, sound the laminate, compression-test the engine, and pressure-test the lower unit — and can run a sea trial — so you don't buy someone else's water damage.
What we inspect
- Moisture mapping of hull, transom, deck, and stringers
- Percussion sounding for delamination and voids
- Engine compression / leak-down (gas) and diagnostics
- Lower unit / outdrive pressure & vacuum test
- Corrosion: anodes, bonding system, and galvanic check
- Fuel system, tanks, and fuel quality
- Bilge, pumps, through-hulls, and seacocks
- Steering, controls, and electrical/electronics
- Trailer running gear (if included)
- Optional on-water sea trial
